Speech therapy is a very young medical-therapeutic discipline. It is dedicated to the theory and practice of prevention, counseling, diagnostics, therapy and rehabilitation of voice therapy. Furthermore, it stands for teaching and research in the areas of the voice. Another field that is in the foreground of speech therapy is the language, speech, voice, swallowing or hearing impairment in people with limited interpersonal communication skills.
