Oncology

The science that deals with malignant tumor diseases (cancer) of all organs is called oncology (Greek: onkos=swelling and logos=teaching).

In a narrower sense, it is the branch of medicine dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, therapy and aftercare of malignant diseases.
