Cultural morphology (ethnology)

In ethnology, the term cultural morphology stands for a theoretical model. Leo Frobenius uses it to describe his theory of the external formation of culture.

Oswald Spengler, who decisively coined the term cultural morphology, compared the different cultures with plant life. Cultures are born, flourish, grow to their full potential, and then die. In addition to Leo Frobenius, Eduard Spranger, Oswald Spengler and Arnold J. Toynbee were also representatives of cultural morphology.
