Lighting

The term lighting describes the illumination of a room or an object using natural or artificial light.

A distinction is made between indoor and outdoor lighting.

The lighting is mainly done with electric lamps today, whereas in earlier times candle oil lamps were used. Gas lighting also played an important role until the triumph of electricity.
