The science of the systematic processing of information, in particular the automatic processing with the help of computers, is called computer science.
As a science, computer science historically evolved from mathematics. However, the development of the first computer systems has its origins in electrical engineering and communications engineering.
In order to be able to put the theoretical concepts into practice, computer science uses computers as a tool and medium.
