Hypegiaphobia

Hypegiaphobia (or hypengyophobia) is a pathologically heightened fear of responsibility and is therefore a specific phobia. The person concerned avoids people or situations in which he has to take responsibility. A hypegiaphobic will never take on positions of responsibility, such as fatherhood, for example, or he will try to flee from them.

The word comes from the Greek: hypengy-, hypengyo- = responsible or reliable and phobos = fear.
