Psychology

Psychology is the science that deals with the experience and behavior of people, their development over the course of life and all the internal and external causes that are relevant for this.

Until about 100 years ago, psychology was a branch of philosophy, but then it established itself as an independent science. During this time, she developed from a philosophical-humanities-oriented direction into a more scientific direction. There was a strong differentiation into different sub-disciplines.

Today, the practical areas of work of psychologists are primarily in the areas of social, educational and health services, but also in advising companies in the economy on questions of work design, personnel development and suitability diagnostics.

A certain amount of psychological knowledge is important and necessary in almost all professional and personal areas today. Therefore, in many training courses and subjects, there is now an offer or even an obligation to acquire solid knowledge of psychology.
