Pledges

The Pfänder is 1,064 meters high and is known as Bregenz`s local mountain. On the pledge you can buy a special
enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Constance, with its view of 240 Alpine peaks being the most prominent
viewing platform of the region.

When the weather is nice, the three-country view stretches from the Allgäu and Lechtal Alps to the east over
the Bregenzerwald, over the steep mountain peaks of the Arlberg area and the Silvretta, further over the Rätikon
to the Swiss mountains and western foothills of the Black Forest. At the exit of Lake Constance, the
Rheinthal and the Upper Swabian hill country Lake Constance.
From Bregenz it has been possible to take the cable car to the Pfänder since 1929. In addition, since 1980
under the pledge a motorway tunnel of the Rheintal/Walgau motorway.

Worth knowing

The ORF`s Pfänder transmitter for radio and television reception is located on this named mountain.
A 94.7 meter high free-standing steel framework construction erected in 1958 is used as the transmission tower.
