The roofs of Europe
Europe is a fairly flat continent, about 60% of the landmass is flat land, only about 1% of the landmass of Europe is over 2000m high. The Alps form the core of the mountain regions here. The mountainous regions continue into the Carpathians, Transylvanian Alps, Balkans, Dinaric-Albanian Alps, Apennines, Asturian-Cantabrian Mountains and Pyrenees.
