Hamilton Russell Vineyards Pinot Noir

Winery

In 1975 Tim Hamilton Russell established his wine farm in the "Hemel-en-Aarde" valley near Hermanus in the Stellenbosch wine region. Hamilton Russell wines are among the best in South Africa among experts and consumers alike. Since 1991 his son Anthony Hamilton Russell has successfully continued the wine farm. The vineyard area is 52ha, of which 30ha are Chardonnay and 22ha are Pinot Noir.

From 1994 to 2004, Kevin Grant was the winemaker at Hamilton Russell Vineyards. In 2004 his former right hand Hannes Storm, who has been on site since 2000, took over this task and successfully continues the top quality tradition at Hamilton Russell.

Tasting

Still youthful, but already complex in fragrance, multi-layered, enormously deep, powerful, yet elegant and balanced.
