Boekenhoutskloof Cabernet Sauvignon
Winery
The Winery Located in Franschhoek in the Stollenbosch wine region, Boekenhoutskloof is one of the oldest wineries with Huguenot roots. Winemaker Marc Kent travels to France once a year to find new inspiration. 25% white wine (Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon) and 75% red wine (Syrah, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc) are grown on the 20-hectare vineyard of the winery.
Boekenhoutskloof is somewhat isolated, has hardly any advertising and the wines do not take part in major wine shows.
The wine matured in new barriques for 27 months and was not filtered. The bouquet is typical of a great Cabernet, the palate is complex, rich in extracts and profound.
