Bürgergarde Blau-Gold von 1904 eV

The origin of the Citizens' Guard lies in the "Great Cologne-Ehrenfeld Carnival Society of 1904". Founded as a committee company, there were already plans in the 1950s to build up another corps company in the Ehrenfeld city colors "blue and gold" in addition to the existing ones. However, the festival committee at the time did not want to allow any additional corps. At the beginning of the 1970s, the dance corps was launched with a couple and the dancing guardsmen, which then performed with increasing success on Cologne's stages.
