Silk

Silk is obtained from the cocoons of silkworms. The direct skin contact of silk is generally felt to be very pleasant. Silk is the only endless textile fiber that occurs in nature. Originally, silk probably comes from China. At that time, silk was an important commodity that was transported to Europe via the Silk Road. The majority of silk is now produced in China, while Japan and India are also important producing countries.
