Jute

Jute is a bast fiber made from the stalks of the jute plant. Jute has a very strong odor of its own.

Jute can also be easily dyed, but is very susceptible to rot. Jute originated in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. The main use of jute is in the packaging industry.
