Outlast
Outlast Technologies is a US company that has held Outlast patents for encapsulated PCM as a coating on textile materials and in fibers since 1992.
Outlast`s temperature-regulating technology is used in apparel, footwear, bedding and more. Outlast fibers, fabrics and Coatings were originally developed for NASA and contain patented microencapsulated phase change materials, so-called termocules.
If the body temperature rises, their state of aggregation changes so that they are able to store heat. When the body temperature drops, the spheres solidify and release the heat again.
This means that the heat generated by the body cannot simply escape into the environment, but is instead transferred to the outlast storage tanks, from which the body can draw when needed.
