Quicktime

A media service developed by Apple for the transmission of image and sound data. Quicktime is available for Apple Macintosh but also for Windows. It is mostly used for trailers of the latest cinema films, as the loading time is greatly reduced due to strong compression.
Thanks to the cross-platform multimedia architecture, the recording, playback and processing of multimedia data is no problem.
The basic components of Quicktime are the Movie Toolbox, Component Manager and the Image Compression Manager.
The user can play back, edit and create his video sequences with the standardized tools, operating elements and windows from the Movie Toolbox.
As a connection and interface between the compression algorithm used for source data and the various application programs.
The Component Manager is responsible for decompression and compression as well as for the integration of device drivers.
