Linux

Linux is a license-free, ie freely available, PC operating system that was developed by a Finnish programmer Linus Torvalds in the 1990s.
It is considered stable and secure and was specially designed for use on workstation systems and in connection with the Internet.
Over time, Linux was further developed by programmers all over the world and was thus able to increasingly establish itself on the market. However, this was only possible by adapting the user interface from the cryptic to the Windows-like one. It made things easier for the user and Linux became an increasing competitor for the market-leading Microsoft Windows.
Linux is known for its high level of security, especially when it comes to defending against hackers, and is therefore often used as a web server.
