Link

The link is a link in a hypertext system.
In hypertext, it is an activatable reference to a specific location in a document, to the entire document, or to a file.
Essentially, a link consists of the address to which it points, i.e. the URL, the "Uniform Resource Locator."
You encode them in the source code of the website, but you should note that this is usually written in html, the "HyperText Markup Language."
Links are not difficult to find in web browsers, as they are usually identified by being written in a different color and underlined.
If you activate it, i.e. click on it with the mouse, the page or document to which the link refers opens.
In general, links on the "World Wide Web" take on the function that keyword indexes, cross-references or footnotes in books previously had.
