Javascript is a scripting language developed by Netscape and Sun which is used to provide web pages with dynamic elements.
The syntax of Javascript is based on Java, but no independent programs can be written in Javascript, only scripts embedded in the HTML code work.
It is a fact that Javascript is easier to learn than Java itself, but due to the limited range of functions it is only suitable for online applications.
For this reason, this scripting language is mostly used by web designers and online programmers.
Javascript can be implemented in browsers without a license due to its free availability.
Nevertheless, the field of application of Javascript occupies a wide range. They are used, for example, to check form entries, exchange graphics on a website or for interactive forms with plausibility checks.
