Java

Java is an object-oriented programming language developed by Sun Microsystems.
It was specially developed for Internet applications and makes it possible to run small programs such as animations, games and graphics on websites independent of the platform.
Java is mainly used when programming applets, which can then be built into the HTML code of websites or run independently.
The programs programmed in Java actually run on all computing platforms, but only if they have the appropriate interpreter.
These interpreters are known as "Java Virtual Machines" and are integrated in Java-enabled browsers. Because of this, Java applets can be run independently of the operating system used.
Usually, the client runs the Java applets. For this purpose, the data is sent to him via the Internet and then converted there. However, there are also "Java Server Pages" which execute the Java programs on the server side.
As a rule, Java applets are used to make web pages dynamic, but independent programs can also be written independently of the Internet.
