Hypertext

Hypertext are text files which offer the possibility of not only having to read text linearly.
Key words and cross-references in text passages that are particularly emphasized allow you to jump from text passage to text passage and then return to the starting position at the end.
In contrast to continuous text, hypertext stands out particularly because of the cross-references, so-called hyperlinks, to other text passages or documents.
Clicking on a hyperlink automatically starts the program connected to the link or downloads the linked file.
In general, hypertext is viewed as a navigational aid of the World Wide Web.
