Homepage

The homepage is the main or start page of a website, i.e. the first page of a web presence.
Internet users reach this page when they enter a domain address in the address line of their browser.
It can document documents of a person, organization, institution, a company or a special subject area on the "World Wide Web".
A homepage often contains a table of contents of the website and is therefore also referred to as an index page.
It thus represents the title page of a digital publication.
It usually contains links, also called links, to other web pages that either refer to the same website (internal links) or to others (external links).
