Firewall

A firewall is a kind of security lock that protects a computer network from unauthorized access.
The user`s computer should thus be protected against virtual dangers such as hackers, viruses, Trojans or worms.
The firewall allows the administrator or user to set rules that allow data to pass through the system and which not.
If a suspicious data packet is discovered that wants to penetrate the system, the firewall gives an alarm and the user can then decide for himself with a simple click whether he wants to let the data through.
A firewall computer creates a so-called log file, a protocol in which it lists all security-related processes.
In the case of an attempted access, for example, the IP address of the external computer that wanted to request data but was not authorized is recorded, as well as the commands used.
