Bug

Error in a program or computer system. Today, however, the word is mostly used only as a designation for programming errors.
The errors only appear when programs are run.
They cannot be found when the compiler checks the syntax, since they usually appear when a program reaches a certain state or has to process special data constellations.
For this reason, programmers mainly use the debugger to track down bugs, since it was specially developed for error detection and correction.
Translated into German, the word bug means bug or insect.
This has its origin in the year 1940, because at that time the machines were still very large, mostly taking up entire rooms and that it was more and more common at that time that real insects caused malfunctions in the first mainframe computers.
