Snowshoe
The snowshoe cat is a cat breed that is named after its
distinctive white paws. This cat combines the markings of a Siamese
with white parts. The snowshoe cat can have two coat patterns, either
Gloved with limited white or two-tone with more white on the
Face and body. Snowshoes like to snuggle up and are noisy, whereby they
but have a soft voice.
In the 1960s, a Philadelphia breeder crossed her Siamese with a
American shorthair cat. The resulting crossing was only used by Siamese breeders
not accepted, but the snowshoe cat has enjoyed since TICA`s recognition in the 1980`s
years of greater popularity, while still being a rare breed cat.
