European shorthair

The European Shorthair is a breed of cat. In contrast to other pedigree cats, the European Shorthair is not bred according to plan, as it is our most common house cat anyway. Their ancestors are ordinary house and village cats. The European Shorthair was recognized as a separate breed in 1982.
The development of the European shorthair cat is mainly traced back to the African wildcat. This shows striking similarities to our house cat in terms of physique, skull and tooth position. The European wildcat, on the other hand, is hardly related to our domestic cat.
The body of the European Shorthair is strong and muscular; the chest wide. The legs are long and muscular. The head is large, with a short straight nose, the eyes are large and round. The ears are set wide apart and are relatively small. The fur is dense, the tail is strong and tapering to a point.

The cats of this breed are known to be intelligent, affectionate and affectionate. They are lively animals that do best outdoors, and a garden is ideal for them.
