This breed is also known by the names Masked Persians or Himalayans. It is a color variant of the Persian cat but resembles the Siamese cat in color.

At the beginning of the 1940s, there were first attempts at crossing in the USA and Sweden.
The breakthrough and the first bred Colourpoint cat breed was born in 1935 in the USA.
In Great Britain they only started at the end of the 1940s.

Appearance

The Colourpoint has light colored fur all over its body, but a darker color is more prominent on the tail, face and characteristic areas.
Due to the further development of breeding, the Colourpoint nowadays has a distinctly round head, with a slightly broader nose and small, forward-leaning ears. Your neck, on the other hand, is extremely small and stretches out in width.
The build of their body is stocky and stocky. Furthermore, the Colourpoint stands out due to its large to medium-sized physique.
It should also be noted that the tail should be relatively short and lush.
