Hawaii ponoi Nana i kou, moi.
Kalani Alii, ke Alii.
Makua lani e Kamehameha e
Na kaua e pale Me ka i he.

Translation:

Hawaii\'s own sons, be faithful to your chief,
the vassal and lord of our country, the Alii,
Father over us all, Kamehameha,
who watches in battle with his Ihe (spear).
