Daniel Craig was born on March 2, 1968 in Chester, England.
He grew up in rather poor circumstances and at the age of 6 he was already sure to become an actor.
He got a place at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where he trained alongside today`s greats like Joseph Fiennes, Damian Lewis and Ewan McGregor.
In total he shot 30 roles between 1991 and 2005 in various mostly independent films or TV movies.
At the beginning of his career, his path was shaped by roles such as officers and soldiers in films such as "The Force of One", "The Trench" and "The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones".
However, he also landed villain and scoundrel roles, which ultimately led to his breakthrough on British television, in Moll Flanders and Our Friends in the North.
In independent cinema, on the other hand, he appeared in demanding roles such as the schizophrenic in "Some Voices" or the worker in "The Mother", who sleeps with his girlfriend`s mother, who is 30 years his senior.
