Career:

Scottish legend Sean Connery, like any actor, had to work his way up early in his career.
He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on 08/25/30.
His father Joseph Connery was a truck driver and his mother Euphamia Connery worked as a cleaner.
At the age of 15, Sean Connery dropped out of school and joined the army. He then had various jobs, including as a reporter. In his spare time he did bodybuilding and got a swimwear modeling contract and represented Scotland in the 1950 Mister Universe election.
In the early 1950s he discovered film and television for himself.
Between odd jobs and acting studies after several small roles in television or film, he had his breakthrough, so to speak, overnight.
His career as a world star began with the role of British secret agent James Bond 007.
The role of the luxury-loving spy in smart suits and fast cars not only made Sean Connery famous, it stuck with him for decades to come.
In 1964 he took on the role of Mark Rutland in Hitchcock`s "Marine" and was particularly able to free himself from his agent image.
He has enormous talent and can therefore be used in any genre, whether it`s westerns, dramas, psychological thrillers, thrillers, action films or adventure films.
He owes it to his charismatic screen presence, among other things, that his career lasted for decades.
He was also involved as a producer in some films such as "In the Swamp of Crime", "The Rock" or "The Cradle of the Sun" in order to be able to have an even better influence on the film and his role.
This plan paid off most notably in "The Entrapment," in which he plays an old crook and notorious thief who is talked into a heist by insurance agent Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Unfortunately, the intellectual drama "Finding Forrester" in which Sean Connery hides in his apartment as a reclusive author and is accidentally found by a 16-year-old African American and becomes friends with him was not convincing.
The promising film version "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" was also not so successful He has received several awards, including the 1987 British Film and Television Academy Actor Award for "The Name of the Rose" and a series of honors that could go on and on.
He is a knight of the Legion of Honor in France and various universities have awarded him honorary doctorates.
