Career:

Timothy Dalton was born on March 21, 1946 in Wales. He came to the theater at a young age and was able to pursue his passion there to much applause.
After a few successful pieces on stage, the film offers were not long in coming.
He played his first major role in "The Lion in Winter" alongside Antonie Hopkins, Peter O`Toole and Kathrine Hepburn.
In 1987 he was offered the role of James Bond.
As the successor to Roger Moore, however, he had drawn a difficult fate.
Although the fans initially reacted euphorically to the election, this changed abruptly when they saw Timothy Dalton`s version of James Bond.
The character was portrayed far too seriously and didn`t have the self-mockery of Connery or Moore. For this reason it was over for him after the second part.
It wasn`t until six years later that Irishman Pierce Brosnan was able to bring the legend of James Bond back to life.
After this severe stroke of fate, it became quite difficult for Timothy Dalton to get good roles and so he was mostly only seen on television.
Years later he returned to his roots and you could see him back on stage in his element.
