Wedding under the wedding canopy

In principle, the wedding ceremony can take place anywhere (synagogue, hotel, hall, outdoors). It is only important that the wedding ceremony is held under the wedding canopy (chuppah). The chuppah is a white prayer shawl or cloth that is held up over the newlyweds by friends at the four corners with sticks.
