Devon Rex
The Devon Rex is an extremely interesting pedigree cat. In addition to their goblin appearance and mischievous nature, the nature of their fur is remarkable. Because this is curly and particularly soft.
This mutation first appeared in 1960 in Devonshire, England. The coat mutation itself was already known from the Rex rabbits. The name of the breed is derived from these two facts.
In addition to the Devon Rex, there are also the German Rex, the Cornish Rex and the Selkirk Rex (long-haired).
Newer curly-coated breeds include the Ural Rex, LaPerm (long-haired) and Bohemian Rex (long-haired).
