Career
Ben Hogan became famous for his golf club swing.
His swing is still regarded today as the perfect movement. It is not without reason that the driving ranges have grown enormously since Ben Hogan, because all the golfers try to improve their swing there.
Ben Hogan`s drive for perfection saw him win 63 tours, 9 of which were major titles.
He picked up three more major wins in 1953 at the Masters, US Open and The Open Championship.
He achieved such a feat as the first professional golfer and it was also the high point of his career.
He certainly could have won the PGA Championship as well, but lack of time and overlapping with the Open Championship prevented him from doing so.
Ben Hogan founded his own company in 1952, which still manufactures high-quality golf clubs today.
He was also inducted into the newly created World Hall of Fame in 1974.
