History

The Buddhists want to be redeemed from the cycle of reincarnation through their way of life and to enter Nirvana, which is the greatest goal for the Buddhists. Buddhists see lust as the source of all problems between people and their goal is to overcome suffering and the causes of this lust. At the center of Buddha`s teachings are four noble truths, which also determine Buddhist life.

  1. Dukkha - Life in the cycle of existence is painful
  2. Samudaya - The causes of suffering are craving, aversion (negative craving) and ignorance (of the nature of suffering).
  3. Nirodha - Through the cessation of causes, suffering ceases.
  4. Magga - The Noble Eightfold Path leads to the cessation of desire (and thus of suffering).
