German translation:
(1st stanza)
Protector of the Homeland
peace be with you;
Proud minds refuse submission
the Arabic "lion`s den" is a sacred house
as well as the throne of the suns is an invincible realm
the wide flourishing Sha`am plain "Syria" are like lofty towers
they resemble the shining sky with the brilliance of their stars
such a land that blooms with the glow of their suns
is with my life like a sky or even one.
