Xatlao tangtae dayma lao thookthunana xeutxoosootchay,
Huamhaeng huamchit huamchay samakkhikan pen kamlang diao.
Detdiao phomkan kaona booxa xükiat khong lao,
Songseum xaysit pen chao laothook xonphao sameu pabkan.
Bo hay foong chackkaphat lae phuak khayxat khaomalob kuan,
Lao thangmuan xoo ekkalat itsalaphab khong xatlao vay,
Tatsin chay soo xing ao xay phaxat kaopay soo khuam vatthana.

German translation:

At all times the people of Laos have praised their fatherland United in their hearts, minds and strength
Stepping forward resolutely
Recognizing and increasing the greatness of the Lao people
And claiming the right to be their own masters
The people of Laos of all origins are equal
And will never allow the imperialists and traitors to harm them again
All the people will defend independence
And the freedom of the Lao nation
Determined to fight for victory,
To lead the nation to happiness.
