Internet, the information superhighway
A global online medium also known as a public computer network. The aim of the Internet is to establish a connection between the individual computers and thus be able to exchange data.
It is therefore an electronic connection of computer networks, which makes it possible for every computer to be connected to another worldwide. Technically standardized Internet protocols enable data to be exchanged between the individual Internet computers.
The Internet is also commonly referred to as the World Wide Web, although this is just one of the many services the Internet has to offer.
