Computer freak and programmer Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) tries to prove that Ed Dillinger (David Warner), the current boss of a media company, once stole various programmed computer games from him. With the help of the Trons program, Flynn wants to penetrate the company`s computer system and find the evidence. However, something goes wrong and during this attempt Flynn is digitized by a laser and rematerialized in the computer. He is now in some kind of computer game and his life is in danger. The programs around him have taken the shape of their programmers. The only hope left to him is to find Tron and make sure that he takes over his task as a surveillance program again. |
