In 2004, time travel became a reality and became as normal as driving a car. However, with this possibility also arises a completely different kind of criminals. It is thus possible for them to gain control over financial markets or to change historical events. Because of these fears, it is decided to set up the Timecop Enforcement Commission. So that the history remains unchanged, time cops patrol between the times. However, there is a law in this organization. Nobody is allowed to travel into the past! When this happens anyway, timecop Max Walker (Jean-Claude van Damme) is sent to find the culprit or culprits.
