The tyrant Gedren wants to seize power in the barbarian realm. During a raid on the town of Hablac, the power-hungry Geldren kills the keeper of the talisman, which gives great power to the owner. Red Sonja (Brigitte Nielsen) is the sister of the murdered man and swears revenge. Kalidor, the master of the talisman, wants to offer her his help, which she doesn`t want to accept at first. He follows her anyway to protect her and promptly the two fall in love. Only Sonja`s vow not to devote herself to a man and the big fight against Geldren are their future together.
