After Gandalf`s fall in the abyss of Khazad-dûm, the Fellowship became at the end of Part one forcibly separated. The action in the second part begins in the mountains of Emyn Muil, where Frodo (Elijah Wood) and Sam (Sean Astin) meet the mysterious Gollum (Andy Serkis) who makes a promise to them to bring them to Mordor. Meanwhile, Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Legolas (Orlando Bloom) and Gimli (John Rhys-Davies) to rescue the abducted Merry and Pippin. However, the hobbits manage to escape from the orcs, while they escape befriend Treebeard the Ent in the forest. At the same time, a battle ensues between the Horsemen of Rohan and the orcs. Together, the companions must face the great power held by the two towers: The corrupt sorcerer Saruman, who led a vast army of breed warriors and Sauron`s stronghold, which lies deep in the dark reaches of Mordor. | ||
