Career:

Steven Seagal is an American Actor, best known through his
Roles in martial arts films became famous. He holds the 7th Dan Aikido and the Aikido-Shihan.

Steven Seagal is of Jewish Irish descent and has lived in Japan since around 1973, where he
taught English and practiced Zen, Aikido, Kendo Judo and Karate. He also speaks
also fluent in Japanese. As the first man who was not of Asian descent, he founded in
a martial arts school in Tokyo. After his marriage he was promoted to 5th Dan, with
he had received his first Dan in the summer of 1974, followed shortly thereafter by his sixth Dan.
Seagal returned to the United States after about fifteen years. Here he founded his own
Aikido Dojo in the San Fernando Valley (a suburb north of Los Angeles, California, USA).
A film agent named Michael Ovitz, who was one of his students, paved the way for Seagal
for his film career, which began with "Nico". There he plays a cop who, with his
specific investigative methods against the CIA.
Steven Seagal`s most famous film is "Red Alert", which was very successful.
Towards the end of the 90s, some of his films flopped in cinemas, with "Die Copjäger" in
made a comeback in 2001. Steven Seagal also worked as a musician and became famous with his
mostly country songs, the album released in 2004 was a success in France.
On October 26, 2005, he released an album of mostly blues songs.
