Like humans, animals are living beings that generate their metabolic energy by breathing and by supplying oxygen.
Animals get their energy from eating other animals and living beings. Animals can basically move actively and have organs of all kinds. These include the sex organs or the sensory organs. In some cases, animals can behave very similarly to humans. Some animals, such as monkeys, are closely related to humans. Although humans are biologically animals, they are not considered animals in most contexts.
There is a wide variety of animals in the world. New animals are constantly being discovered and taken in. Especially in the still largely unexplored underwater world, there are some undiscovered animals.
When animals are spoken of, they are often multicellular animals. Although there are major differences in the appearance of insects, vertebrates, etc., according to current knowledge, these animals can be traced back to a common ancestor.
