The West Highland White Terrier is a typical family dog that gets along well with children. He is considered to be very loyal and vigilant, but difficult to train. He doesn't necessarily know obedience, but rather has a mind of his own. He needs regular exercise and doesn't like staying in tight spaces for long periods of time. His long coat should be brushed regularly.
