The Flat-Coated Retriever is a docile, alert and active working dog that not only demonstrates its excellent qualities when hunting. He was originally bred to be a specialist in retrieval; this is still his passion today. The Flat-Coated Retriever has all the properties to be used in a wide variety of terrain types. His insensitivity to weather conditions, speed and good comprehension make him a valuable working dog and an ideal companion for humans.
