The English Foxhound is a typical hunting dog, but is also suitable as a guard dog or companion dog. He is very robust and not necessarily easy to train. Therefore, only an experienced master/mistress should keep him. He is unsuitable for dealing with children. He needs a lot of exercise and is absolutely unsuitable for city apartments. His fur does not require any special care.
