Trophology
Trophology (also nutritional science) is a natural science that is located between the subjects medicine and biochemistry.
Using purely scientific methods, trophology researches the processes involved in nutrition, digestion and metabolism, particularly in humans, but also in plants and animals.
The professional field of trophology extends from basic biochemical research, for example in the pharmaceutical industry, to applied product development in food or chemical companies, to nutritional advice.
