Fools' guild "Frohsinn" 1853 Donaueschingen e.V.

On Carnival Sunday 1853, some foolish citizens decided to found a fools' association in the Hirschen inn. Seventy fools elected the board and treasurer and at the general meeting it was decided to name the association "Gesellschaft Frohsinn". The roots of the Donaueschinger Hansel go back to the year 1783. The Donaueschinger Hansel always appears together with the Gretle. In addition to the Hansel pair of figures, there are also the Kuhseckel.
