Portal

In the Architecture is a Portal (from the Latin: porta = gate) an outer door of a building that is emphasized by plastic decoration or architecturally structured. Examples of such a Portal are entrance gates of temples, churches, palaces or tunnels. Depending on when they were built, portals have different style types (Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque).
